Harrison got it pretty bad and they're still out of power in some places. We got quite a bit more than you guys but not as bad as Harrison--guess it ran a line between you and us.

I love it when you post a bunch of pics like this. :)

This is what happens when we let government take over our private lives. You don't think that's taking over our private lives? Think again....but I won't get started about the damn government.

What has me so frustrated about this switch is that I've actually lost some of the channels I used to watch before I got digital television. Sad, but true, I can't get my local Fox station. It is completely blank digitally though it comes in fine analog.

All of your points about the coupon program, the need for an antennae (I've gone through two) and more are "here here" moments for me. This has been one giant mess since day one, poorly planned and executed. Sadly, I don't think pushing it back is going to help anyway.

No, I think this is just too screwed up to save but it's also too late to just go back...

Lard--you forgot the lard. When a recipe calls for lard it really means it. They didn't know about shortening or cooking oil. And, food really does taste better fried in lard. Not overly heart-healthy, but once in awhile you just gotta!

Bacon grease is another staple in old southern kitchens. I don't know any old timer that does have a can of bacon grease.

That is sooo true Enna! My family would literally make an extra trip to the store if we ran out of paprika. You simply couldn't eat a deviled egg without it! lol
